Voice and Beginning Piano Studio
In addition to being an active performer, I teach voice and beginning piano privately in my home studio in Porter Square and remotely. I hold a Masters Degree in Vocal Performance from The Boston Conservatory and am a member of AGMA. I’ve been teaching private voice and beginning piano in the Boston area for nearly a decade and in recent years I’ve lead classical and crossover masterclasses and judged competitions in Boston, New Hampshire, New York, Texas, and Virginia. My focus is not only in developing talented musicians, but in encouraging a life-long love for music.
As a teacher, I enjoy working with a variety of levels and ages. For singers I focus primarily on technique, versatility, and stage presence working in all genres of music from pop to musical theater to classical.
I have a strong background in early childhood education and tutoring in music theory. For my piano students, I focus on music reading, theory, and musicianship in a fun and inviting environment. The lessons are a blend of focused exercises, musical exploration, and games where students can develop a love of music making and practice.
I also bring my teaching outside of the classroom, by providing access to regular performance opportunities for interested students, recitals, monthly newsletters, listening lists, and more.
